STEP ONE: YOUR FANTASY PORTRAIT
To create your fine art fantasy portrait their needs to be a collaboration between the patron and the artist. Tell us how you in vision your portrait to look. Describe in every detail, from the type of clothing, magical accessories, mythological creatures, and the magical settings you wish the subject or subjects to be placed in. Be as creative as you wish to be.
STEP TWO: SEND US YOUR VISUAL INSPIRATION.
Please send us the most beautiful, clearest, and fantastic photograph of each of the subjects that will appear in your portrait. The photographs will be used as a guide to aid FairylandPortraitss.com in creating the very essence of any of the subjects within the fantasy portrait painting. Have fun with the images that you send to us. Pose in your favorite costumes. We would love to see you wearing period costumes, fairy dresses, evening gowns, wedding gowns, or costumes from another galaxy. Wear what makes you feel fantastic.
Fear not if you have nothing to wear. FairylandPortraits.com can design and render for any subject in the portrait fashions that will inspire you. Send us your ideas from your favorite fashion or interior design magazines, fantasy or scfi-book covers, magazines, movies, and television shows. If you are having a complete original fantasy portrait painting created by us, feel free to send us any of your personal nature photography,photography from your vacations, and we can incorporate your inspirational images to further customize your portrait. Anything that inspires you will inspire too.
Due to licensing and copy written laws, any images that belong to other sources can not be copied but can show the essence of your favorite science fiction and fantasy images that you wish to incorporate into your fine art fantasy portrait. Please, send us quality copies of any materials you send to us. Only you know how valuable your properly is. FairylandPortraits.com nor artist Judy L. Haron will not be held liable for any items sent to us for loss or damage.
STEP THREE: SELECTING A FANTASY LANDSCAPE:
Fantasy Landscapes
play an important role in the look of a fantasy portrait. The fantasy
landscape transports the viewer of the portrait into another world
that Artist Judy L. Haron and FairylandPortraits will help you
to create. Please choose from the following in customizing your
fantasy landscape for your fantasy portrait.
A. THE ORIGINAL Fantasy
Landscape: Your original fantasy landscape will allow you
to escape to another dimension. FairylandPortraits will work
with you to create a fantasy landscape that will work beautifully
on its own or along with your custom fine art fantasy portrait.
We will put together all of the collaborative ideas and create
the fantasy landscape of your dreams. Send us your best ideas
for your fantasy landscape. Any of your own photographs from
that fantastic vacation you just took will create a beautiful
image for FairylandPortraits to derive inspiration from. Send
us color copies from your favorite architecture, sci-fi, or fantasy
book where the landscape sends you to nirvana.
After we agree
about the concept for both your fantasy landscape and your fantasy
portrait, FairylandPortraits will draft a letter of agreement
along with the price quote, start date, estimation of completion
and submitted to the client's for approval. Once this is complete
FairylandPortraits will then go to the drafting table and will
draw up to three separate black and white pencil designs of the
original fantasy landscape to be submitted your approval. Once
approved the completion stage is ready to begin to complete your
custom Fantasy Landscape or Fantasy Portrait.
B. The Giclee Fantasy
Landscape and the Custom Fantasy Portrait: Too busy? For
the first time in the world of fantasy fine art FairylandPortraits
has invented a way to help make a custom a fantasy portrait by
using the Giclee Printing Process. Choose any of our images from
our Fantasy Landscape Gallery and FairylandPortraits we will
incorporate it into your custom fantasy portrait by painting
your fantasy portrait on top of the Giclee. This fantastic process
is so seamless that you will not be able to tell where the giclee
stops and the custom hand painted Fantasy Portrait begins. Even
the Giclee Fantasy Landscape itself can be altered to better
suit the subject depicted in the fantasy portrait. It is so flexible
that if you wish to add a rose because it is your favorite flower
and replace a few flowers from the Giclee it can be done. This
process is exclusive to FairylandPortraits. It will help any
of or valued clients by reducing the time and cost it might take
to complete an original fantasy portrait from the ground up and
still have a custom look.

and the after with the fantasy portrait added entitled, "Eve
and the Fairy Godmother."
C. LIMITED EDITIONS: All images when available from the
FairylandPortraits.com FANTASY LANDSCAPE GALLERY or FANTASY PORTRAIT
GALLERY are available in limited Giclee reproductions. Available
are the Giclee reproductions with the artist signature or an
exclusive run of 200 Giclees that will be numbered, dated, hand
embellished and signed by Artist Judy L.Haron. Please go to our GALLERY and click on any image to find out more.
D. Extra Giclees and Prints: Extra giclees or prints
are available for purchase after you and FairylandPortraits
have completed your original fantasy portrait. Customer
sizes are available upon request. If you purchase three 15x20
reproductions of Giclees or Prints taken from the image of your
Original Fantasy Portrait the fourth one is free.
STEP FOUR: PHOTOGRAPHY AND PRIVATE SITTINGS:
A. Photography Sessions: If you wish to have FairylandPortraits.com stage and take the pictures of the subjects to be depicted in your original Fantasy Portrait we are happy to come to an agreed upon location for all of our qualified clients. Location shoots are set by appointment only. Photography sessions typically run 2-3 hours for each session depending on how many subjects, complexity, and detail.
B. Private Sittings: For those client's who wishes to experience the personal touch by having the artist draw or paint the subjects in your fantasy portrait from life, session are available by appointment only for any of our qualified clients. However it is best for those who have children to have the photographs taken or to provide FairylandPortraits.com with copies of your own personal photos. Send us your clearest photographs of your child capturing that special moment. It is very helpful to see the fantastic details to capture the subject or subjects features. Private Sittings may require two to three sessions of 1.5 hours to 2.5 in length to provide artist for set up time depending on the complexity of the sitting. Photography and Private Sittings are billed at the rate of 150.00 an hour. Any rental fees or travel expenses are extra.
STEP FIVE: SELECTING A MEDIUM AND IMAGE SIZE:
Choosing the medium: When choosing the medium in which your fantasy portrait will be rendered in you may select from the follow choices.
A. Original in Graphite Pencil: Your fantasy portrait will be rendered in a black and white graphite pencil . Your fantasy portrait can be as detailed in pencil as it is when it is painted. Even in pencil the magic of the fairy's wand, a wizard's hat, or the queen's crown, can be seen in your fantasy graphite pencil fantasy portrait.
B. Original in Blush Graphite: The Blush Graphite Fantasy Portrait is a portrait rendered in graphite pencil with a water color wash on top. Your Blush Graphite fantasy Portrait will have a soft blush of color magic to give it the soft soothing tones like that of meadow of wild flowers.
C. The Painted Original: Your fantasy portrait will be rendered in the finest quality acrylics, enamels,color imported tints to bring about the same vibrancy of a portrait rendered in oils.
D. Original Fantasy Portrait on Giclee Fantasy Landscape: This unique process developed by FairylandPortraits and artist Judy L. Haron is the first if it's kind in the fantasy arts industry. The idea was developed for all great fans of the fiction fantasy fine art book covers. Be rendered in paint as your own fantasy character on top of an original Gigclee from our Fantasy Landscape Gallery.
E .Choosing Archival Paper or Canvas Size:
When choosing a size for your original fantasy portrait we suggest that the actual size of the archival paper or canvas is no smaller then 11x14 inches to ensure that there will be enough room to show case all your portraits exquisite detailing. If you are choosing a fantasy landscape from our gallery to complete your original fantasy portrait, the Giclee from our Fantasy Landscape Gallery can be reduced up to 50% to suit your gallery space needs.
COMMISSIONING AN ORIGINAL:
There are a wide variety of price ranges for all valued clients of Fairyland Portraits. Cost of an original will very depending on the medium, size and complexity of your Fantasy Portrait or fantasy Landscape commission.
